OVERVIEW Care for chronic and complex conditions is often siloed across clinics, paper records, and disjointed patient portals, which limits patient engagement and makes it hard for physicians to track adherence between visits. Patients struggle to understand and follow treatment plans, while physicians lack timely, structured updates on symptoms, leading to missed opportunities for early intervention. WELLZIO MISSION To enable patients to actively participate in their care by booking appointments, accessing treatment plans, updating medical records from home, and communicating securely with their care team in one place. To provide physicians and clinics with a cloud-based, customizable practice management tool that streamlines workflows (booking, check-in, reminders, billing) and supports collaborative treatment planning across the care team. MY CONTRIBUTION Users feedback and design problem After several iteration cycles, MDs and nurses reported usability issues on the web platform. The inability to view all patient data in the dashboard while scheduling meetings, combined with the need to leave the scheduling page to write reports and summaries, caused major frustration and slowdowns. They needed access to all patient information during scheduling to quickly review conditions, update files, and prepare for visits. The goal I aimed to redesign the scheduling page by addressing the key usability pain points identified by MDs and nurses. My focus was to ensure that all patient information could be easily viewed and updated without leaving the scheduling workflow. To achieve this, I restructured the user flow and leveraged existing design system components and UI kits to maintain consistency with the platform’s visual standards.
